Try to always find the time to engage with decency.
I caught this statement in the moment of some introspection. And it occurred to me that that word holds some deeper impact. And I had to pause, and ask myself, if I am decent.
And I then wandered off to question what I stand for and if upon any judgement I can be found to be a decent person. If I have the strength of belief in what I think and say and do, unto others. In the present and in the past.
And if what I do in the future, a future that is limited, if there is enough time to atone for previous wrongs and to give reparations to where they belong. Because time is limitless, until its own end, but our time has limit, for when we end.
Have I objected to injustice? Have I raised my voice at the common and present social ills? Have I built and lifted up my brothers and sisters, and all the fellows around me, to get to a higher plateau? And is there the time? To make the change, and to drive the essence?
But do we have enough of time to have this broader discussion, and have we at this time as kinfolk, and as brothers and sisters alike, have we read the news, and have we received adequate education to get to repentance and reinforce decency, and yes, the common decency amongst ourselves. I ask.
And I dont watch the news anymore, or read the newspaper. Because all that is bad, about us, and about humanity, and our lack of it, its all there, as everyday headlines.
But we still have this life, for now. And it comes before the end of our end. And if ever there was a time to fix anything, it is now.
Dont you agree?
I can only tell you this in pieces, as it happens to me I will continue writing the thesis.
