The anatomy of it all / Another again.
When the dust settles and you take stock, it almost feels like God puts you in the eye of the storm so you can understand and appreciate the peacetime that comes when you find a person who is truly yours to be with.
And the Apostle that is Paul gives it all of the definition that is needed in the infamous 1st letter to the Corinthians in the 13th chapter. And you cannot deny that that is what it is, when you do come across it.
It is in the patience of it all. It is less of noise and un-noisy. Its in the kindness and care and the absence of records of wrongs. You will do no wrong because you want not to do your person wrong.
You want to be kept in their bossom and you want to lie on their chest and you want to count their heartbeats at the rhythm of all that is your love.
I remember a song that came out in 1982. Its called “All this love” by El De Barge. Its a depth of emotion. I was too young in 1982 when the song came out.
I dont know ukuthi at what time or stage I found this song. But I carry it in my heart and I now feel its meaning at distance and all of this length.
When it plays on Spotify, I sing along and I release my emotions, and I pour them back inside because I realise what the dude was on about and thats a whole type of understanding of how God designed this love thing.
A lot of the music I listened to when I was younger never made sense, but I sang nonetheless. I yearned for the emotion of the deepening of a love, and I had never yet had an experience of it that got me in the wow of understanding.
But I do now.
So Im here at this time, most days, playing all the songs and I find a reconnect with the same old music that I listened to as a kid, and I now reflect and I know the meaning of it from the first chord and I know the feelings that these guys were speaking of as they were creating the music.
And in all likelihood, God was there in the studio and the sparks of creativity were infused with Spirit and thats the fusion that we now hear when the record plays and our hearts are then receptive to it all.
And I want to give them creators of the songs a young shout out in appreciation.
God is love 💛💙🙏🏽
