On why marriage needs God.
In reading Fear. One of the other truths parallel to failing and then learning, is that marriage is not meant to make you happy but to make you holy.
Look at it like this, apart from your relationship with God and one’s love for God which includes reverence, fear, respect etc who or what other relationship keeps you accountable? Its your spouse.
Marriage trains us to love God and others well. The primary intent of marriage is to make one holy. You will be married and you will catch yourself in moments where your eye would wander/linger too long on men/women other than your husband/wife.
But when you consider your spouse’s feelings in that situation, that will stop your eyes from wandering because you have to ask yourself how would they feel if they knew?
That realisation is the safety net that God provides, and will save you from getting into trouble before it even starts and it will keep you close to God, the person you want to please the most.
And thats why God has to be with you in your marriages.

And then another friend said that marriage is like an electronic/electrical appliance that you purchase at a store. The appliance comes with a warranty/guarantee, that if it stops working, you can take it back to the store, and they can send it to the original manufacturer to fix and repair. Or they give you another one.
His point was that when you marry in the eyes of God, and before God. When things go wrong in your marriage, you have to take your spouse to God and ask Him for help. He is the one who brought you together on those let no man put asunder vibes. So you then have to ask Him, what gives bro? Help me fix and repair.
If you dont have God in your marriage, who then do you turn to? Their parents? And will they be neutral? Always?
Thats it right there. Take your marriage to church fam.
